Rose Venier
Rose Venier was a member of the Bailey lab while conducting her research while obtaining her masters in genetics counseiing at The University of Pittsburgh. She is currently a genetic counselor at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Her major role is with the SickKids Cancer Sequencing (KiCS) program. The goal of this study is to use genetic sequencing of matched tumor/normal pairs to identify precision therapies for our participants and to better understand pediatric cancers as a whole. Rose leads the study consent discussions, and has been helping to develop other aspects of the program including expanding to additional populations. Additionally, Rose is as a clinical genetic counselor in the SickKids Cancer Genetics Clinic where she counsels families about hereditary cancer syndromes.
